Luther January Term
Each January, Luther offers 20-26 off-campus, faculty-led courses. These courses are based in Luther's academic departments, which means they always count toward academic requirements for graduation. In addition, Luther faculty and staff plan and administer their own courses to best utilize their international research and professional contacts abroad. This format ensures academic quality and keeps student costs lower than costs for comparable trips arranged through tour providers.
Tuition for January Term courses is included in Luther's comprehensive fee. Students pay only costs associated with travel, such as airfare, housing accommodations, some group meals, and transportation for required study trips.
