President’s Council and Legacy Trust Scholarship recognition events

Friday-Sunday, May 3-5, 2013

Each year Luther College recognizes members of the President’s Council and Legacy Trust with a special weekend campus event in the spring. Legacy Trust Scholarship donors and their student recipients are honored at a Saturday luncheon, and President’s Council donors are recognized at dinner Saturday evening. Donors may attend information sessions Saturday afternoon and enjoy various student-ensemble performances Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, or watch the Luther Norse compete.

Friday, May 3

7:30 p.m. Luther College Opera performance - Orpheus in the Underworld, by Jacques Offenbach, Main Hall, Center for Faith and Life (CFL)

7:30 p.m. Luther College Theatre performance – Arcadia, by Tom Stoppard, Jewel Theatre, Center for the Arts

Saturday, May 4

10:15 a.m.-4:45 p.m.  Check-in, Main Lounge, Dahl Centennial Union

10:30-11:15 a.m.  Tour of the Aquatic Center, tentative

11:30 a.m.  Legacy Trust Scholarship reception, Peace Dining Room

12:00 p.m.  Legacy Trust Scholarship luncheon, Peace Dining Room

2:15 p.m.  Session 1: Celebrate! Sesquicentennial Fund Campaign Accomplishments-Campus Recital Hall (CRH), CFL

3:15 p.m.  Session 2: Student Research presentations--Mott Borlaug Rooms, Nobel Room

4:30-5:30 p.m.  NEW EVENT! Reception for President's Council members from the classes of 1993-2012, Nobel Room

5:00 p.m.  President’s Council recognition reception, Peace Dining Room

5:30 p.m. President's Council recognition dinner, Peace Dining Room

            4:00 p.m.  Lucille Stansberry Rosholt Distinction in Accompanying Finalist student recital, Noble Recital Hall

Please note the following additional events: the Luther Norse baseball team plays Central College Friday and Saturday, games start at 1:00 p.m.; a Saturday matinee theatre performance of Arcadia, by Tom Stoppard, is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Jewel Theatre, and the Chamber Orchestra will present a concert Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Weston H. Noble Recital Hall.
