Put on your dancing shoes, rally your Luther friends, and get ready to get down and give back at the social event of the year for Twin Cities alumni, parents, and friends!
What is it?
It's a benefit event to raise scholarship funds for Luther College while having a fantastic night of entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, auctions, and grooving to the music.
Who?
The scholarship benefit was the brainchild of young Luther alumni; the event is for anyone who loves Luther College.
Why?
Scholarship support is critical as students search for ways to meet the rising costs of education. The Twin Cities Young Alumni (TCYA) Scholarship will help ensure that future students receive the financial support necessary to achieve their dreams of studying at Luther College.
How?
The base entrance fee and sponsorships cover the cost of the event; funds raised from the silent and live auctions will go toward the scholarship.
Ticket prices
- $30 ticket includes admission to Get Down, Give Back--hors d'oeuvres, ambiance, and entertainment you won't want to miss!
- $50 ticket includes admission, valet parking, and a $10 tax deductible gift to the TCYA Scholarship.*
- $100 ticket includes admission to Get Down, Give Back, valet parking, and a $60 tax deductible gift to the TCYA Scholarship.*

According to IRS regulations, you may deduct only the amount of your payment that is more than the value of the goods or services you receive. A good faith estimate of the value of the goods and services you will receive is $30 per person for food and entertainment, and $10 per person for valet service.
Regarding silent and live auction purchases
In accordance with IRS regulations, any amount paid for an item, more than the fair market value of the item, may be tax deductible. Please consult with your tax adviser to determine the tax deductibility of your contribution.
Amounts paid for the raffle do not qualify as tax deductible charitable contributions.
All proceeds from the auction and raffle benefit the Twin Cities Young Alumni Scholarship at Luther College.
