Inge Bruggeman

Inge Bruggeman produces fine press artist’s books under her imprint INK-A! Her work can be defined as text-based artist’s books that explore the textual landscape that surrounds us. She also creates installation pieces that investigate the book as a cultural icon and artifact. Bruggeman holds a MFA in book arts from the University of Alabama. She also completed a two-year residency at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, a spring residency in Marseille, France, and an academic year in Chicago teaching in the graduate program for Interdisciplinary Arts at Columbia College. She was a lecturer at the University of California, Santa Barbara for four years, before moving to Portland to establish her Studio and teach at the Oregon College of Art & Craft.
