Events and Activities
Monthly Group Events
Group events include a wide range of activities that are aimed at building relationships and providing each child with a unique experience that they might otherwise not experience. Many of the events are facilitated by professors and local community leaders. Below are some examples of monthly group events:
- Dance and Motion Workshop
- Gym Activities utilizing Adaptive P.E. Equipment
- Painting in the Center for the Arts
- Scavenger Hunts
- Tour of the Luther Planetarium
- Music Workshop
- Community/Downtown Tours
- Winter Outdoor Activities
- Spanish Fiesta
- Chemistry Demonstrations
Independent Activities
In addition to monthly group events, students are encouraged to plan outside independent activities with their friend. To do an outside activities, students must first work closely with their child's parents. Independent events may vary, but some encouraged activities are listed below:
- Meals at Marty’s, the cafeteria, or downtown
- Luther Sporting Events
- Musical Performances and Special Concerts
- Local Parks and Attractions
- Interests Specific to the Child
Also, starting in the fall of 2012, Luther students in the Friends Organization can now bring their friends to many featured performances in the CFL free of charge!
