If you are least a half-time student you can defer your loan.  Deferments do not happen automatically

• Call 563-387-1534 or email joney01@luther.edu each time you start a new session/semester of school.

  Your enrollment will be verified at the National Student Clearinghouse and your deferment processed.  Deferments are processed one session/semester at a time.

• If your school does not report to the National Student Clearinghouse you will need to complete a Student Deferment Form and have the Registrars Office at your school certify your enrollment.
