Complete an online survey about your college experiences for an opportunity to win scholarship funds. Fahrney Education Scholarship Program
The Fahrney Education Scholarship Trust is seeking applications for several $2,500 scholarships. Students must be a resident of Wapello County (Iowa) and be enrolled full-time in a bachelor degree program. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office or can be sent electronically via an e-mail request to teresa.lawson@usbank.com . Deadline is February 15, 2010.
Carver Scholars Program
The Carver Trust is currently seeking applications for its annual Carver Scholars Program. This program is open to students who will be entering their junior year in Fall 2010 and is designed to recognize and assist those students who have overcome physical and/or financial barriers to attend college. More information about these $7,600 per year scholarships can be found online at http://www.carvertrust.org/. Application deadline is April 1, 2010.
2010 Glenn Miller Scholarship Competition
The Glenn Miller Scholarship Competition is open to graduating high school seniors and current college freshmen who intend to make music a central part of their future life. This is a vocal and instrumental music competition offering scholarships between $1,000 - $4,500. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office and must be submitted along with an audition CD by March 15, 2010. Des Moines Women's Club Scholarships
The Des Moines Women's Club has (2) $1,000 scholarships available to students. One is for a female student pursuing a degree in any academic field. The second is awarded to a male or female student pursuing a degree in music or dance. Applicants must be a legal resident of Polk, Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Story or Warren counties in Iowa. Fine Art Finals Competition
This scholarship competition is dedicated to the promotion of talented and gifted emerging artists at the collegiate level and awards their mastery of technique and excellence of artistic achievement. BigSun Scholarship
The BigSun Organization is offering an annual scholarship of $500 to a deserving student athlete. The successful applicant will be a high school senior or be attending a post secondary institute and currently involved in some sport at that institution or in the community. The Army Nurse Corps Association
The ANCA is offering $3,000 scholarships to students who are pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Scholarship deadline is April 1, 2010. Additional information and scholarship applications can be found online at http://e-anca.org/.
Talbots Scholarship Foundation
Applications are currently being accepted for $180,000 in scholarships from Talbots. Applicants must be women who currently reside in the US or Canada, have earned a high school diploma or GED on or before September 2000, attend the full 2010-11 academic year with a graduation date no earlier than May 2011 (with a minimum of 24 credits to earn in the 2010-11 academic year). Erdman Entrepreneurial Prize Competition
Luther Students - Get ready to tell us about the business ventures you have created. This annual prize competition culminates with the Erdman Entrepreneurial Showcase event to be held on March 16, 2010 where $10,000 in scholarships will be awarded. Applications for this competition are due February 19, 2010.
Institute For Humane Studies
The Institute for Human Studies at George Mason University has graduate student scholarships available in public policy, journalism, and production. More information can be found online at http://www.TheIHS.org/ . The Institute has several scholarships with the earliest deadline of December 31, 2009 and the latest of February 2010.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Applications for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund for the 2010-11 academic year are now available at http://www.hsf.net/ . Most programs require that the applicant be of Hispanic heritage, be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident, plan to enroll full-time in the Fall of 2010 and have a 3.0 minimum cumulative grade point average.
AICPA Scholarships
The American Institute of CPAs has several scholarship opportunities for accounting and business students for the 2009-2010 academic year.
