Luther College is pleased to announce that as of July 1, 2013, the servicing of your Federal Perkins and/or Institutional Student Loans (Luther, Norse, McElroy and International) is handled by Educational Computer Systems, Incorporated (ECSI). ECSI is a billing service provider for Luther College, not a collection agency.
One of the many exciting features of the ECSI service is that you have access to your account(s) online. You are able to verify when your payments have been received, update address and phone information, verify account balances, obtain loan payoff amounts, sign-up for electronic billing, and make your payments.
ECSI also handles deferments and cancellations. All forms are accessible on their website and their customer service staff are available to help with any questions. If you are still a student, in-school deferments will happen automatically. You no longer need to notify Luther each time you start a new school term.
On July 5, 2013, ECSI sent you a letter containing their website address, your user name and password, plus their contact information. With this information, you can log in and check your account.
If you are currently making your loan payments by an automatic withdrawal from your bank account, Luther processed your July 1st payment due as usual. Using your user name and password, you need to log on the ECSI website to set up a new automatic withdrawal through them for your August 1st payment.
We continue to work very closely with ECSI to ensure a smooth transition. Be advised that any payment or documentation mailed to Luther will be forwarded to ECSI for processing.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to improve our service to you.
