Viewing Your Aid Award
Financial aid award notifications are sent electronically.
You will receive an e-mail from the Financial Aid Office when your initial award is complete and for each revision made during the year.
Financial aid award notifications are sent beginning May 1 for the following fall.
Note: If you do not receive your award at that time, we may be missing forms needed to complete your award. Please review and submit the missing documents requested under Documents on my.luther.edu prior to contacting the Financial Aid Office. Awards will be completed through the summer as required forms are received.
Accessing your award
Students are able to access their financial aid award through my.luther.edu. Use the FA Award Letter form to view your award.
How To Decline a Student Loan
If you would like to decline a loan that is appearing in your financial aid award, you may do so by going to the “Accept or Reject My Financial Aid Awards” link on the Main Menu of my.luther.edu. You are allowed to accept or reject your loans for each term.
How To Reduce a Student Loan
If you wish to borrow less than the amount offered to you on your financial aid award, please e-mail the Financial Aid Office at finaid@luther.edu with the award amount you would like to borrow for each term. The Financial Aid Office will adjust your award and send you a notification of this revision.
How to Print Your Award Letter
You may print the award letter directly from your Web browser.
How To E-mail Your Award
You are able to e-mail the award letter by selecting the Send Link function from your Web browser. The recipient will be allowed to view the award without viewing other information on your my.luther page.
How To Notify Financial Aid of Changes
The Department of Education requires that you report all sources of financial assistance you are receiving to the Financial Aid Office.
If you are receiving any scholarships, grants, or educational loans that are not listed on the award letter, please contact the Financial Aid Office at finaid@luther.edu or (800) 458-8437, ext. 1018.
