Luther went toe-to-toe with conference leaders Wartburg College, but came up short 3-1 tonight in the Regents Center.

The Norse held leads in sets one and two, but runs of 12-6 in set one and 20-6 in set two by the Knights, secured 26-24 and 25-18 come-from-behind victories. The Norse won set three 25-16, which marked the first set Wartburg had dropped in five conference matches. The Knights secured the victory with a hard-fought 25-23 win in set four.

Kelsey Sorensen led a trio of Norse attackers that posted double digit kill totals. Sorensen tallied 13 kills and was followed by Natalee Johnson with 12 and Leah Broderick with 11. Lindsey Ryan dished out 31 assists. Brandi Knupp led the back row with 10 digs. 

Box Score

The loss drops Luther's Iowa Conference record to 2-3, 13-14 overall. The Knights remain undefeated in league play with a mark of 5-0, 17-8 overall.

The Norse will finish their invitational schedule this Friday and Saturday when they travel to Loras College for the Loras Invite.
