A jumper by Michael Crocker with four seconds left on the clock secured a 71-69 road victory over UW-River Falls. The bucket capped off a come-from-behind victory that saw the Norse down by as many as 16 points early in the first frame.
The Norse trailed the Falcons 44-36 at halftime, but held the Falcons to just 25 points in the second half, while producing 35 of their own.
John Androus led all scorers with 19 points. Androus was 5-of-10 from the field and 8-of-11 from the charity stripe. Jake Martin, who returned to the lineup for the first time in two weeks due to an injury, also reached double digits with 13. Cody Kliethermes tallied nine, while Cale Austin and Crocker were both credited with eight.
The win was the third in a row for the Norse who are now 7-3 overall. River Falls fell to 4-6.
Luther will be off until Saturday, Jan. 4 when it will host Mount Mercy University at 4:00 p.m.
