In game two, Luther jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead after batting around the order in the first. The Eagles lead 8-7 after scoring three runs in the second and five runs with two outs in the fifth, capped off with a three-run blast by Meyer. Luther evened the score in bottom half of this same inning thanks to back-to-back doubles by Kelsey Weindruch and Katie Wieland.
In the eigth, Elise Miller led off with a single to left field. Lindsey Uphoff pinch ran for Miller and advanced to second when Eagles pitcher Lauren Beres committed an error on Kayla Hattings slap back to the circle. Uphoff scored the game winner when Huber hit a fly ball to the left-center field warning track that was dropped.
Girvan (12-3) picked up the win in relief. Girvan threw the final 3 1/3 innings and held the Eagles scoreless, striking out three.
