Tricia Serres advanced to the Mile finals posting a time of 4:55.71. Her time was the sixth fastest of the 10 finalists. The top eight finishers in Saturday's final will earn All-America honors. The Mile final will begin at 1:40 p.m. Saturday.
The distance medley relay of Maggie Pierson, Kelsey Strand, Annie Klepper and Serres placed ninth, one place out of All-America honors. The foursome crossed the finish line clocked at 11:51.61. UW-Oshkosh won the national championship with a new meet record of 11:32.24.
Day Two Recap: Tricia Serres earned All-America honors thanks to a fourth place finish in the Mile this afternoon. Serres posted a time of 4:50.50 that was a new school record. Serres owned the old mark of 4:55.71 set earlier this year.
Christy Cazzola from UW-Oshkosh won the individual title clocked at 4:48.11.
With this honor, Serres becomes the first Luther athlete to earn All-America honors in the Mile of either gender and the first to earn All-America honors indoors for Luther since 2005. That year, Natalie Retrum placed third in the 5,000 meter run.
