The men's golf team kicked-off the fall schedule at the two day Midwest Region Classic. The 26 teams played 27 holes each of the two days on the Lake Course, Canyon Course and Arbor Course of Trappers Turn Golf Club in Winsconsin Dells. Wis. Each day's scores were the total of 27-holes played.
Luther shot a two-day total of 445-441-886 and finished seven strokes behind tournament champions University of Dubuque. Dubuque carded rounds of 445-434 for am 879. Millikin University was third at 887 and University of St. Thomas was fourth with an 892.
Individually, Tobias Kohl was the tournament medalist, shooting a 4-under par 212. Kohl finished two strokes ahead of Eric Wolfe of Dubuque and Alex Kapraun of St. Thomas that tied for second at 214. Andrew Peter finished in a two-way tie for fifth at 218.
Elliot Horst (229), Joel Bruns (229) and Adam Turner (230) completed the Norse five. Matt Axelrod played as an individual and shot 246.
