Luther remains undefeated after posting a 81-75 road victory over St. Olaf College tonight in Northfield, Minn.
The Norse led by as many as 21 points, thanks to 55 percent shooting from the floor. Luther also held a 41-26 advantage in rebounds and continued to shoot well from the charity strip connecting on 20 of 26 attempts. Three games into the season, the Norse are connecting on a combined 80.7 from the free throw line.
Four Norse tallied double digits led by Tyler Wedemeier who recorded a double-double with 16 points and grabbed a game high 16 rebounds. John Androus led the team with a season high 18 points. Zach Matos-Pritchard was credited with 14 and Michael Crocker chipped in 13.
St. Olaf also had four players in double digits led by Sterling Nielsen's game high 21 points. Riley Aeikens had 17, followed by Connor Gunderson with 13 and Justin Pahl with 10.
The win gives Luther an overall record of 3-0, while St. Olaf fell to 1-2.
The Norse will return to action Sunday, Nov. 25 when they will play at UW-La Crosse. Game time is slated for 6:00 p.m.
