Luther wrapped up the 2012 campaign with a 14th place finish from the field of 32 teams, at the NCAA III National Championships this afternoon in Terre Haute, Ind. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hosted the national finale at the LaVern Gibson Course. Luther was making its 13th appearance at the national finale, third consecutive and sixth under the direction of associate head coach Yarrow Pasche.
The Norse were led by Tricia Serres who earned All-America honors by finishing in the top-35 from the field of 277 runners. Serres placed 20th clocked at 21:33.3 on the 6K course. Serres becomes the ninth Luther runner to earn this honor. Combined, Luther runners have earned All-America honors 14 times.
Christina Storlie (60th - 39pts - 22:26.3), Jayne Cole (99th - 65 pts - 22:45.3), Maggie Pierson (139th - 97 pts - 22:59.7), and Lauren Mordini (192nd - 141 pts - 23:25.0) completed Luther's point producers.
Lauren Stokke (244 - 23:58.7) and Annie Klepper (273 - 24:38.6) ran sixth and seventh respectively.
