The Norse added what proved to be the game winning run in the seventh, when Elisa Smith drove in Kelsey Rose, after rose reached base with a double to center field. The run proved huge as St. Mary's scored three runs in the bottom of the frame and pulled to within one run and the final of 8-7.
Snyder led the attack going 2-for-4 with four RBI. Weindruch was 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and Kittleson and Smith each drove in one run.
Becca Girvan (17-2) went the distance in the circle. Girvan allowed seven runs on 10 hits and walked two.
The Norse exploded for 16 runs on 20 hits en route to a 16-5 victory in the nightcap. The Norse put five runs on the board in the first, four in the fourth, two in the sixth and five in the seventh.
