Luther fell to 2-3 in Iowa Conference play after dropping a 72-58 decision to Coe College in Cedar Rapids.
Coe led at halftime 36-33 and outscored Luther 36-25 in the second stanza en route to the victory. The Kohawks shot 63.3 percent from the field, while holding the Norse to 32.8 percent.
Taylor Johnson and Tayler Jenks paced the Norse offensive attack. Nelson tallied 17 points and collected a game high eight rebounds. Jenks recorded a career high 13 points. Meagan Koepnick was next with eight, while Nellie Nelson, Lyndsi Woolems and Kylie Romeo all chipped in six.
Kayla Waskow led the Kohawks with a game high 26 points. Mackenzie Reed was credited with 13, and Hannah Breitbach and Mary Halvorson both added 10 apiece.
The Norse will return to action on Monday, Jan. 21 when they will travel to University of Dubuque for a game that is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
