Luther hosted and competed in the NJCAA Region XI Indoor Championships in what was the final warm-up before the Iowa Conference Indoor Championships next weekend.
Dalen Dirth and Nick Clark established school records in the Heptathlon and 200 meters respectively. Dirth posted a point total of 4,689 points. His point total currently ranks as the sixth best in the NCAA III.
Clark, who earlier this year set the school record in the 55 meters (6.62) was clocked at 22.80. Chris Cinnamo held the old mark of 22.83 set in 1998.
Andrew Papke-Larson set a forum record in the Mile. His time of 4:19.92 broke the old record set by Keith Solverson of Wartburg of 4:20.41 set in 2005.
Logan Langley was right behind Papke-Larson and also bested the old mark clocked at 4:20.36.
Top-10 performances were also established by Joel Clark, Josh Humpal and Elliott Scheck. Clark ran the third quickest time in school history in the 55 hurdles with a time of 7.88. Humpal moved to ninth all-time in the shot put with a mark of 46-11 3/4. Scheck moved into fourth all-time in the 35-lb. weight throw with a toss of 45-10 3/4.
Cornell College will host the Iowa Conference Championships next Friday and Satruday, Feb. 24-25.
