Sponsored by Luther College Archives and Preus Library
Did you know that social dancing by the Luther student body used to be forbidden? Have you ever heard the story of the group of students who defied the ban by organizing a dance in Ossian back in 1960? Learn all about it as we screen the short documentary “Dance Revolution: Students’ Reaction to an Unjust Policy” created by Decorah High School students Aidan Spencer, Clara Kittleson, and Lydia Hayes as part of the National History Day program. Panel discussion and refreshments to follow the film. This event is brought to you by the Luther College Archives and Preus Library in celebration of American Archives Month.
