Although Luther fell behind in doubles for the second straight match, the Norse were able to rally back with five singles wins to secure a 6-3 victory over UW-Oshkosh in its second match of the Warhawk Invite this afternoon.

Trailing 2-0, Tyler Van Heest and Joe LaFountaine used a late break of serve to earn an (8-5) victory over Scot Niemi and Josh Hopfensberger at No. 3 doubles to put Luther on the board.

Scott Sundstrom trailed 4-3 in his opening set at No. 1, but won the final nine games to nail down a (6-4, 6-0) victory against Bobby Brooks, tying the match at 2-2.  Torstein Jystad also rallied back in his opening set, winning five games in a row and then holding on in the second set for a (7-5, 7-5) win against Adam Kasper.  James Ayer lost his opening set, but came back strong in the final two sets, prevailing (1-6, 6-1, 6-3) over Niemi at No. 3 to make the score 4-2.  Moments later, Quinn Foley outlasted Aidan Sauberlich (7-6, 7-6) to clinch the match for the Norse.  After the Titans won in a third set super tie-breaker at No. 2, Matt Bellio came through with a (7-6, 7-5) win against Jason Alexander at No. 6 to finish off the match.
