Luther improved to 5-1 in the Iowa Conference after posting a 67-55 victory over Cornell College in the Multi-Sport Center in Mount Vernon.
The Norse never trailed as four players recorded double figures. Tim Merritt and Michael Crocker both tallied 12 points, while Zach Matos-Pritchard and Tyler Wedemeier tossed in 10 apiece. John Androus, who led the Norse with nine rebounds, was one bucket shy of double digits with eight.
The Rams were led by Rory Cotter who scored a game high 17 points. Alex Miller also reached double figures with 10.
The Norse held the Rams to 33 percent shooting and won the battle of the boards 33-26.
The victory increased Luther's overall record to 11-3, while Cornell fell to 2-13, 0-6 in the IIAC.
Luther will host league leading and the only unbeaten team in league play University of Dubuque (6-0, 11-3) on Monday, Jan. 16, at 8:00 p.m. This game will be video streamed.
