Luther completed the double header sweep with a 6-3 win over Colorado College after beating Oglethorpe earlier in the day. With the win, the Norse improved to 3-0 during its spring trip and 11-3 overall this season.
After Colorado College tacked the first point on the board with a lopsided win at No. 1 doubles, Luther used key performances at the other two doubles spots to grab a 2-1 advantage heading into singles play. Tyler Zinnecker and Aaron Gendron held serve the entire match and then picked up a break in the final game for a (9-7) win at No. 3 against Robert Kasemodel and Zach White. With the match deadlocked at 1-1, James Ayer and Quinn Foley scored a tie-breaker win at No. 2, winning (9-8 (4)) over Will Lindsay and Jack Burger. Ayer and Foley rallied from an 0-3 deficit and then held on down the stretch.
Zinnecker performed well in his first varsity singles match since the opening week of the spring, winning (6-2, 6-4) against Sidharth Moktan at No. 6 to give the Norse a 3-1 lead. Ayer earned a three set win at No. 4, defeating Burger (6-1, 3-6, 6-1) to make it 4-1, and then Matt Bellio won the final four games in a (6-3, 7-5) win at No. 3 over Oliver Gunter to clinch the match. After Colorado College won at No. 2, Ramesh Karki maintained his perfect singles mark by rallying to win (3-6, 6-2, (10-6)) over Nate Burt at No. 1. Colorado College won the final match of the day in three sets at No. 5 to account for the final score.
