Buena Vista handed Luther its worst loss of the season, a 67-49 decision in Siebens Fieldhouse.

The loss puts Luther in a must win situation Saturday at Coe in order to claim a share of the 2012 Iowa Conference title. A Coe victory would secure the outright title.

Tonight, Coe defeated Wartburg 67-55 and sits alone atop the league standings with a mark of 11-4. Dubuque (11-5) finished its season with an impressive 73-39 victory over Cornell. Buena Vista (10-5) also moved into title contention with tonight's win. The Beavers travel to Cornell on Saturday. If Luther (10-5) defeats Coe and Buena Vista defeats Cornell, there would be a four-way tie for first place.

Tyler Wedemeier was the only Norse to reach double digits with 11. John Androus tallied nine and Dane Larson was next with seven. Wedemeier also led the team with nine rebounds.

Buena Vista was led by Wes Nordquist who poured in a game high 22. Nordquist missed just four shots from the field and was 8-of-9 from the charity stripe. Jess Janssen added 12 and Doub Bissen, who collected a game high 13 rebounds, chipped in nine points.
