Coe College handed Luther its first conference loss of the season, a 77-63 decision here in the Regents Center.
With the game tied 36-36 at halftime, the Kohawks outscored the Norse 41-27 in the final frame en route to the victory. The Kohawks also held the Norse offense to 36 percent that included a 7-for-26 effort in the second half.
Tyler Wedemeier posted a double-double with 12 points and a game high 10 rebounds. Dane Larson (16), Zach Matos-Pritchard (11) and John Androus (11) completed the list of double-digit scorers.
Coe was led by David Mataloni who poured in a game high 21. He was followed by Andrew Wirth (16), Seth Light (12) and Garrett Cross (10).
The loss gives Luther an Iowa Conference record of 4-1, 10-3 overall. Coe posted its seventh win in a row and is now 4-2 in league play, 10-5 overall.
Luther will travel to Cornell College this Saturday, Jan. 14. Tip-off is slated for 4:00 p.m. This game will be audio streamed.
