No team scores were kept at the Loras Midweek Invitational held today in Dubuque.
Christina Storlie and Lisa Richter posted top-10 performances in the steeplechase and triple jump respectively.
Storlie, a 2011 outdoor national qualifier in the steeplechase, was clocked at 11:14.40, that ranks seventh on Luther's all-time list and currently ranks as the ninth fastest time in the NCAA III. Storlie was followed by teammates Melissa Erickson (11:18.99) and Maggie Pierson (11:47.81). Erickson's time ranks 12th in the NCAA III.
Richter, who placed second, posted a mark of 35-2 that ranks tied for tenth on Luther's all-time list. Richter also placed second in the long jump (16-1 1/2) behind teammate Addy Rickels (16-4 1/4).
Emma Spoon (18:03.27), Jayne Cole (18:32.99) and Anna Murray (18:34.46) finished in the top three spots in the 5,000. Sam McAllister (5:01.30), Lauren Stokke (5:01.38), Jessica Mietz (5:07.19) and Ashley Matthys (5:08.37) took the top four spots in the 1500. Jenna McGee qualified for the finals on the 100 hurdles and placed fourth (16.37), and Nicole Powers placed second in the 800 (2:25.07). Sarah Sindelar qualified for the finals of the 100 (13.09), but did not run in the finals.
Amanda Dunn was busy in the throwing events placing third in the shot put (32-7 3/4), second in the discus (117-8) and fourth in the hammer throw (117-3).
Luther will return to action on Saturday, April 14 when it will host the Norse Relays. Field and running events will begin at Noon.
