The Luther women’s tennis team opened the IIAC AQ tournament with a semi-final match-up against Wartburg and advanced to the championship match with a 5-0 victory. The Norse made quick work of the Knights in doubles, only dropping four games, and then won a pair of singles matches to clinch the meet.
Cami Czech and Katie Howe breezed past Lindsay Greiner and Jenny Dallenbach for an (8-0) victory at No. 1 doubles. Cassandra Chalhoub and Lola White-Baer were (8-1) winners against Claire Evans and Leanna Jenkins at the No. 2 slot. Elise Allen and Katy Lindstrom pulled away from a 3-3 tie to beat Brita Jensen and Michelle McKenzie (8-3) at No. 3.
Czech was a (6-2, 6-1) winner over Evans at No. 1 to make it a 4-0 score in favor of the Norse. White-Baer clinched the match with a (6-0, 6-2) victory against Jenkins at No. 4.
