The Luther women’s tennis team finished up its fall regular season schedule with a road trip to Central and Simpson for a pair of IIAC duals. The Norse opened the day with a 9-0 win over the Dutch, improving to 9-3 overall and 6-1 in the IIAC.
Lola White-Baer and Katie Howe opened the scoring with an (8-0) sweep against Jordan Langer and Sarah Montgomery at No. 3 doubles. Luther picked up the doubles sweep with (8-3) wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Cami Czech and Cassandra Chalhoub paired together for the first time this season and defeated Emily Swartz and Kayla Donner at No. 1 while Elise Allen and Katy Lindstrom also teamed up for the first time in the fall and beat Ashlei Bos and Riley Taylor.
The positive momentum from doubles carried over to singles play where the Norse won all six singles matches in straight sets. Czech defeated Swartz (6-1, 6-3) at No. 1 and Chalhoub won (6-3, 6-2) over Donner at No. 2. Allen beat Bos (6-0, 6-1) at No. 3 and Lindstrom was a (6-2, 6-2) winner against Anna Striegel at No. 4. White-Baer won (6-0, 6-2) at No. 5, defeating Taylor, and Howe defeated Montgomery (6-2, 6-1) at No. 6.
