Luther traveled to UW-La Crosse and posted a 3-1 victory over the Eagles. The Norse have now won seven of their last 10 matches including the last three in a row. Earlier this year, the Eagles defeated the Norse 3-2 at the St. Mary's University Sugar Loaf Classic.
Hannah Walker led the offensive attack with 12 kills. Walker, a first-team all-Iowa Conference performer a year ago, is averaging over three kills per set.
Sophia Brown and Kelsey Sorensen were next with nine and eight kills respectively. Brown was also credited with three ace serves, and two block solos, both team highs.
Amanda Dietel dished out 40 assists, while Blair Butler and Jordyn Dudek tallied double digit dig totals.
The victory increased Luther's overall record to 9-6. La Crosse fell to 3-6.
Luther will host its own tournament this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-24. Action will begin on Friday at 3:30 p.m. when Luther will play Knox College. All four of of Luther's matches during the two days of competition will be video streamed.
