Three former Decorah High runners ran in Luther's top-seven today as the Norse placed 6th from the field of 25 teams at the UW-La Crosse Jim Drews Invitational. The Norse tallied a team total of 234. UW-La Crosse won the team title with 79, followed by Nebraska Wesleyan with 112 and Hamline University with 145.
Evan Neubauer, Marty Mitchell and Peter Kraus, crossed the finish line second, third and sixth respectively. Neubauer scored 31 points (26:29), Mitchell tallied 53 points (26:47) and Krause crossed the finish line in 84th place (27:18) on the 8,000 meter course.
Shane Steele led the team finishing 21st (26:26) from the field of 437 runners. Austin Bauer (61st - 26:55), Scott Mittman (68th - 27:02) and Alex Rigdon (100th - 27:28) completed Luther's top seven.
Luther will host UW-La Crosse for a dual meet on Friday, Oct. 21. Race time will take place at 5:00 p.m.
