Eighteen teams played in the 36-hole Augsburg College Fall Invitational held Sept. 6-7 at Majestic Oaks Golf Course, Ham Lake, Minn. The Norse shot a two-day total of 627 and finished in 14th place. University of Manitoba won the team title with a 584. Bethel University of second at 594 and Augsburg and Concordia-Moorhead were tied for third at 599.
Individually, Ben Grotnes and Elliot Horst led the Norse with two round totals of 156. Britt Vander Linden was one stroke back at 157. Peter Kephart shot 160 and Adam Turner shot 167. Sam Grotnes played as an individual and shot 162.
Luther will travel to the two-day St. John's University Invitational Sept. 13-14. The two day tournament will be played at Greystone Golf Course, Sauk Centre, Minn., and Blackberry Ridge Golf Course in Sartell, Minn.
