Luther placed sixth at the Rochester Invitational hosted by St. Cloud State University. The Norse posted a point total of 263. St. Cloud State won the team title with 1,161, followed by University of South Dakota with 991 and UW-La Crosse with 647.
Carson Miller headlined the team's efforts as the only Norse swimmer to advance to an A-Final. Miller posted a time of 2:18.72 in the prelims of the 200 breaststroke and went on to finish eighth in the finals clocked at 2:21.01.
A number of Norse qualified for B-Finals during the three days of competition. The list included David Carius, Carson Miller, Chandler Roberson and Steve Sorenson in the 400 IM; Justin Yuan and Ryley Kramka in the 50 freestyle; Branch Johnson in the 100 backstroke; Yuan in the 100 breaststroke; Glynn, Sorenson and Roberson in the 200 butterfly; Carius in the 200 freestyle; Carius and Seth VanderHorst in the 500 freestyle; Miller and Yuan in the 200 IM; Johnson and Martin Eyres in the 200 backstroke; Raymond Dulaney in the 200 breaststroke; and Glynn and Yuan in the 100 butterfly.
Luther will return to competition after the Christmas break when it will host Loras College on Jan. 3. Start time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
