Luther's Blue and White teams finished fourth and fifth respectively following the first day of action of the two-day Sail Classic hosted by the Norse. The 36-hole tournament is being played on Pheasants Ridge Golf Course, a par 72 that measures 5867, located in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
The Norse Blue team posted a 334, while the White team carded a 344. Central sits atop the leader board with a 322, followed by Loras and Wartburg's second team that both shot 333.
Individually, Madeline Petellin, Isabelle Krogh and Meggie Acker posted top-10 rounds. Petellin sits alone in third with a 79, while Krogh is eighth with an 82 and Acker is in a five-way tie for ninth at 83.
Day Two Final Results:
The Luther Blue team carded a second round total of 343 and finished fourth from the nine team field. Central shot a 318 this afternoon and won the team title with a 640, finishing 35 shots ahead of runner-up Loras at 675. Wartburg's second team was third at 676.
Luther's White team posted the second lowest team total of the day (336) and finished fifth at 680.
Individually, Petellin finished in the three-way tie for fourth (79-84-163). Kelsey Van Tasell of Central won medalist honors (79-76-155). There were 53 players in the field.
Kraft (85-81-166), Hagarty (86-82-168) and Graf (90-79-169) placed 11th, 12th and 13th respectively. Graf's 79 today was the third lowest round of the afternoon.
The Norse will return to action next Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 6-7 when they will play in the Wartburg Fall Invitational.
