In an Iowa Conference battle at Cowles Fieldhouse in Indianola, host Simpson defeated Luther 95-91 in overtime.
John Androus, who recorded a double-double, drained two free throws with nine seconds left in regulation that tied the game at 78-78. The Storm outscored the Norse 17-13 during the extra five minutes of action en route to their first win in league play.
Androus scored 27 points, collected 14 rebounds and dished out eight assists, all game and career highs. He will enter Wednesday night's game at home against Loras College (3-1, 10-5) needing 22 points to reach the 1,000-point mark.
Jake Martin (13), Michael Crocker (12), Cale Austin (11) and Jack Woolems (11) completed the list of double digit scorers for the Norse. Woolems point total was also a career best.
Simpson was led by the trio of Charles Swain, Dillon Gretzky and Chad Gutschenritter who all produced 20-plus points.
The game was decided at the free throw line as the two teams combined for a total of 80 free throws. The Norse were 23-of-29, while the Storm were 40-of-51.
The loss drops Luther's league record to 0-4, 8-7 overall. Simpson is 1-3 in the IIAC, 3-12 overall.
