Luther posted its fourth win in a row, a 75-66 victory over Central in Pella this afternoon.
Trailing 33-23 with 6:32 left in the first half, Luther put together a 16-5 run, and took a 39-38 lead into the halftime locker room. Central retook the lead twice early in the second frame, but an Aaron Huber jumper with 16 minutes left in the game, gave the Norse the lead for good.
Zach Matos-Pritchard produced the best outing of his career. Matos-Pritchard poured in a game and career high 28 points. He was 13-of-23 from the field and 2-for-2 from the charity stripe.
Tyler Wedemeier and Michael Crocker also tallied double digits with 11 points each. Wedemeier, John Androus and Nathan Meyer led the team in rebounding collecting seven misfires apiece. Crocker dished out a career and game high six assists.
With the win, Luther (3-0, 10-4) is one of three teams that remains undefeated in league play. Wartburg (3-0, 8-5) and Buena Vista (3-0, 11-3) are the other two. Luther's next game will be at home against Buena Vista Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 8:00 p.m.
