Luther joined 14 teams at the Frank Wigglesworth Blugold Invitational hosted by UW-Eau Claire.The Eau Claire Country Club, a Par 71 that measured 6,692 yards, was the site of the two-day tournament.
Luther shot 308 both days for a two-day total of 616. UW-Eau Claire won the team title with a 596, followed by Edgewood College (607) and Bethel University (610).
Andrew Peter was the tournament medalist carding an even par 142. Peter shot a one under 70 on day one and a two over 72 this afternoon. Peter finished three strokes ahead of David Walter of UW-Eau Claire (145) and four strokes ahead of Eric Aughinbaugh of Augsburg College (146).
Completing Luther's top five was Tobias Kohl (T21 - 154), Britt Vander Linden (T30 - 156), Elliot Horst (T60 - 164) and Adam Turner (77th - 173). Sam Grotnes (T16 - 153) and Joel Bruns (T43 - 159) played as individuals.
The Norse will continue their fall schedule at the three-day Gustavus Adolphus Twin Cities Classic that will be played Sept. 28-30. The three day tournament will be played at three different golf course. Day one will be played at Elk River Country Club; day two at The Links at Northfork; and day three at LeSueur Country Club.
