UW-Platteville handed Luther its first loss of the season a 76-61 decision in Platteville. The Norse, who entered the game shooting over 46 percent for the season, had a difficult shooting night connecting on 40 percent of its attempts, including a 2-for-11 effort from behind the three-point line.
Leading by five points at intermission, Platteville extended its lead to as many as 21, thanks to a 20-8 run midway through the second half.
The inside duo of Taylor Johnson and Nellie Nelson led the Norse offensive attack. Johnson tallied 19 points, while Nelson was credited with 12. Meagan Koepnick was one shy of double digits with nine.
The loss gives Luther an overall record of 2-1 as is Platteville.
The Norse return to action Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 24-25 when they will play in the UW-La Crosse Holiday Classic. Luther will play La Crosse on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Nebraska Wesleyan on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
