Luther traveled to Coe College for the final dual meet of the year. The Kohawks defeated the Norse 104-93.
Matt Staver led the Norse as he was involved with three first place finishes. Staver swam the second leg of the first event of the afternoon, the 200 medley, that Luther won with a time of (1:44.86). Individually, Staver touched the wall first in the 200 IM (2:03.19) and the 500 freestyle (4:56.12). He won the 200 IM by two seconds and the 500 freestyle by four seconds.
Ian Christopherson and Zach Martin also posted individual first place finishes. Christopherson won the 50 freestyle (:22.62) and Martin won the 100 backstroke (:55.83).
Luther finishes the season with a dual meet record of 1-2 against Iowa Conference opponents, 1-4 overall.
Luther will be off until the Liberal Arts Championships that it will host for the first time in the 41-year history of the meet. This is the final qualifying meet for the NCAA III National Championships of the season and will be held Feb. 14-17.
