Excellent Sheep Book Discussion

Please join us for two discussions of William Deresiewicz's new book EXCELLENT SHEEP: THE MISEDUCATION OF THE AMERICAN ELITE AND THE WAY TO A MEANINGFUL LIFE, which grew out of this essay in The American Scholar: http://theamericanscholar.org/the-disadvantages-of-an-elite-education/. The first session will be held Friday, Oct. 3 and the second on Friday, Nov. 7, led by Amy Weldon (English). Both sessions will take place from 3:00-4:30 pm in Mott. The October 3 session will be for faculty and the Nov. 7 session will be for faculty, staff and students and will build on the earlier discussion. Copies of the book are available for pickup at the Dean's Office. Cosponsored by the Dean's Office and the Center for Ethics and Public Life.
