43rd Annual All-American Invitational

Luther's Tricia Serres became only the second runner in Luther history and fifth overall in the 39-year history of the women's race, to captured back-to-back individual titles of the All-American Invitational. Johanna Olson accomplish this feat was in 2000 and 2001.

Serres also joins Tori Neubauer (UW-La Crosse - 1982, 1983), Olson, Julia Rudd (UW-La Crosse - 2002, 2003), and Obsie Birru (Grand View - 2010, 2011) that have claimed back-to-back titles. Rudd is the only runner to claim three titles, her third coming in 2005.

Serres crossed the finish line in 18:13, finishing well ahead of Hannah Palmeter of NIACC who was clocked at 18:34.

Completing Luther's top seven included Kaia Bierman (19:43), McKenzie Carney (20:04), Sarah Owens (20:11), Kara Maloney (20:14), Mallory Carr (20:20) and Hannah Wright (20:23).

Luther finished third overall with 75 points. St. Ben's won the team title with 38 followed by the Luther Alumni with 45.

Luther will be off until Friday, Oct. 3 when they will compete at the UW-Eau Claire Bluegold Invitational. This race will take place at the Whitetail Golf Course, Colfax, Wis.  Start time is 4:00 p.m.
