Luther cruised to the 2014 Norse Relays team title posting 229 points. Cornell College was a distant second with 89, followed by Clarke with 85 and Coe with 63.
Amanda Dunn highlighted today's results posting a new school record in the hammer throw. Dunn, whose previous best was 153-11, posted a mark of 165-7. Jess Ellis held the school record of 159-4 set in 1997. Dunn also posted a top-10 mark in the discus with a toss of 139-4 that ranks seventh all-time.
Leah Broderick also had a good day winning both the high jump (5-1 3/4) and the long jump (16-6) and also finished third in the javelin (113-6).
Erin Kammer, Jordyn Dudek and Marea Holkesvik and Randi-Kate Canoy won the 4 x 200 with the ninth fastest time in school history (1:47.98).
The 4x800 relay of Maggie Pierson, Kayla Uphoff, Nicole Powers and Tricia Serres just missed a Carlson Stadium record. The foursome won the event with a time of 9:19.99 that ranks fourth all-time. The Carson Stadium record for this event is 9:19.95 set last year.
Also finishing first was the 4x400 relay of Anna Lampe, Holkesvik, Dudek and Serres clocked at 4:06.05.
A top-10 performance was posted by Lampe in the 400 hurdles (1:05.04) that ranks eighth all-time.
The Norse will travel to the Augustana (IL) Invite on Thursday, April 17. Start time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
