Day One Results: Tricia Serres advanced to the finals of the Mile with a time of 4:56.1 today. Saturday's final will take place at 1:40 p.m.
Day Two Results: Tricia Serres was a two-time All-American today placing second in the Mile and third in the 3,000.
Serres finished second to Christy Cazzola of UW-Oshkosh in the mile who set an NCAA III Indoor Record by claiming her third consecutive national championship in this event. Cazzolla posted a winning time of 4:51.47, edging Serres by 0.5 seconds. Serres was clocked at 4:51.97.
2014 marked the first time a national champion was crowned in the 3,000. Cazzola passed Serres and Cara DeAngelis of Ohio Wesleyan on the final turn to claim the national title. Cazzola crossed the line with a time of 9:38.72, while DeAngelis was second at 9:39.17 and Serres was clocked at 9:39.49.
With her two All-American honors today, Serres has now earned three indoor All-American honors, two in the Mile and one in the 3,000. Serres placed fourth in the Mile last year.
