Luther improved to 4-5 in the Iowa Conference after defeating Loras by a score of 58-55 in overtime.
The Norse battled back from 13 down in the first half and put together a 20-7 run, and held a 13-point lead with nine minutes left in the second half. The Duhawks, who entered the game with only three losses for the season, answered with a 20-7 run of their own to send the game into the extra frame.
Playing in their first overtime game of the year, Luther outscored Loras 6-3 securing the season sweep of the series.
Nellie Nelson, who went down with an injury with three minutes left in regulation and did not return, led the Norse attack with 18 points. Taylor Johnson tallied 16 and Meagan Koepnick chipped in nine.
The Duhawks, who shot 39 percent, were led by Niki Rivera and Katie Langmeier, who both scored 11 points.
The win gives Luther an overall record of 12-8. Loras fell to 6-3 in the IIAC, 16-4 overall.
The Norse will return to action Saturday afternoon when they will travel to league leading No. 8 Simpson College. Tip-off in Indianola is scheduled to take place at 2:00 p.m.
