A hot shooting Cornell team defeated Luther 65-50 here in the Regents Center. The Rams, who led 29-25 at halftime, shot 59.1 percent in the second frame, that included a 7-for-10 effort from behind the three-point line. On the flip-side, the Norse connected on 7-of-24 attempts in this same frame.
Meagan Koepnick led the Norse with a career high 13 points. Nellie Nelson tallied 11 off the bench and Logan Hjerleid chipped in 10.
The Rams were led by Rikki Mulloy who poured in a game high 23. Mulloy had 17 in the second half, connecting on all five of her three-point attempts. Camille Marie-Lidd posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Kathryn Schilling was credited with 10.
The loss drops Luther's Iowa Conference record to 2-7, 5-13 overall. Cornell moved to 5-4 in league play, 7-9 overall.
The Norse will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 25, when they will host Loras College at 6:00 p.m. This game will be video streamed.
