Making a College Work III: Development and alumni relations at Luther

What is the role of development at Luther? How do we reach out to alumni? What initiatives might we consider going forward?

Each Thursday throughout June and July we will hold two discussions – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning sessions will be built around the thread – “Making a College Work.” In these sessions we will discuss various aspects of the governance of Luther College, with a focus on what we do and what we might do to help us thrive as an institution moving forward. The afternoon sessions – “Interacting with Students in the Classroom and Beyond” – are devoted to teaching and learning. These sessions require no preparation and are intended as a chance for us to discuss ideas important to our work together. More intensive discussions or workshops may grow out of individual sessions as interest warrants.

A new topic will be covered each week for each of the two themes. Faculty will receive a $25 stipend for any two sessions attended throughout June and July.
