Catherine, a troubled 25-year old woman, has been taking care of her brilliant mathematician, but mentally unstable, father Robert. Following Robert's untimely death Catherine has to deal with her own reaction to her father's illness and death, her estranged sister Claire who has come home for the funeral, and one of her father's former students Hal who is going through Robert's notes. While going through Robert's belongings, a brilliant math proof is discovered in one of Robert's notebooks. Is the proof Robert's or was it written by Catherine?
