Before you begin student teaching, you will need to review all of the documents listed. These outline the responsibilities of you as a student teacher, as well as the roles of your cooperating teacher and supervisor. Complete the Handbook Agreement Form when you have finished reviewing the documents listed.
Criminal History Background Check
School districts are requiring that all adults who work in their schools, in any capacity, must complete a criminal history background check. This background check will need to be completed on a yearly basis. You will receive information as to whether the school or Luther will process your background check. You will also be responsible for following through with the contact person provided. Renee Gunderson is the contact person for background checks for the Education Department at Luther.
