Diverse Student Teaching Placement

Airplane taking student teachers to a small village in Alaska.

As a teacher, you will encounter students from all walks of life. Your ability to work with a wide range of students will be key to your success as a teacher in the 21st century.

At Luther, we take this reality seriously and work hard to ensure that you get the most diverse teaching experiences possible. This is one reason why you will have two seven-week sessions at two different placements during your semester of student teaching.

You may choose to stay close and teach in the Driftless Region, teach close to home, or perhaps explore a state or a country you’ve never visited. While we can’t guarantee placement in every part of the world, we certainly have many options for you to choose from.
