How Are We Doing
Luther College recognizes the value of diversity and understands that in today's world educational excellence requires cultural competence—the ability to deal with differences that exist in the society. Luther has developed the Diversity Council and the Diversity Center to create a campus that is diverse with respect to race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religious traditions, culture, gender, ability, and sexual orientation.
The Diversity Council meets regularly and is composed of faculty, staff, and students. Its goal is to enrich the climate for diversity on campus while the Diversity Center fulfills Luther's mission by educating students who are prepared to participate as leaders, workers, and citizens in societies that are inclusive and accountable. Both the council and the center use survey data to seek input from the community. The information that each survey provides will be analyzed to improve diversity initiatives, programs, and services.
Survey 1: Campus Climate Survey
The purpose of this survey is to enrich the climate for diversity on campus by seeking input from the community about the best ways to improve the programs and services the council and the center provide. The survey is designed to provide information that will help the Luther Diversity Council and the Diversity Center to evaluate the climate for racial/ethnic and gender diversity on campus. You will receive a link to the survey via email. There is a prize for the residence hall with the most respondents.
Survey 2: Diversity Center Service Survey
This survey provides feedback on the timeliness, quality, and effectiveness of services provided by the Diversity Center. It will take no more than 5-10 minutes. Thank you.
