Luther College’s 2015 Commencement ceremony will be held outside in Carlson Stadium at 10 a.m., Sunday, May 24.
The ceremony is a ticketed event. Each graduate is allowed up to six tickets. On-campus graduates may pick up their tickets at the Grad Finale, March 24 and 25, in the Dahl Centennial Union lobby. Tickets will be directly mailed to midsemester graduates, student teachers, and Rochester nursing students. Tickets for students studying abroad will be sent to their parents.
Caps and gowns, compliments of the Luther Book Shop, will be available at the Grad Finale. Graduates unable to attend may have a friend pick up their cap, gown, and tickets. Caps and gowns will also be available at the Luther College Book Shop.
At the Commencement ceremony, physically challenged guests and their families can use their tickets to sit on the Carlson Stadium track. There will also be a limited amount of alternative seating for physically challenged guests and their families on the Dahl Centennial Union Terrace. Those with a hearing impairment should contact the Campus Programming Office in advance to request the services of a certified signer and to secure special seating.
Guests without tickets will be able to view the live stream of the ceremony in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall and Marty’s, in the lower level of Dahl Centennial Union. This live stream is also accessible for remote viewing via the Internet at stream.luther.edu/events.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Regents Center. Call (563) 387-1732 after 7 a.m. Sunday, May 24, for weather related announcements. Should the ceremony be moved to the Regents Center, four tickets will be valid per graduate; other attendees are invited to view the ceremony on a large screen in the Center for Faith and Life.
